Objectives: • Develop “service specifications” based on NDM-U for WLAN Roaming scenarios. • Promote industry adoption of WLANAS specs. • Ensure interoperability thru an IPDR compliance program. Goals • Enable users to access any hotspot and receive a single bill from home provider, possibly according to their home price plan • Permit hotspot operators to offer convenient access to visitors from any other service provider. • Permit service providers to conveniently sell universal WLAN access to existing customers. • Ensure that a useful set of business models can be supported by the revenue-sharing Accounting & Settlement infrastructure.
