IPsphere Framework
Enabling Advanced Service Delivery

Are you responsible for the rapid creation and automated deployment of IP-based services?

Do you need an open, multi-user framework for your new Web services?

The IPsphere Framework delivers a business layer for rapid service delivery, including advanced support for IP and Web services through real-time control of session resources.

Using the principles of a service-oriented architecture (SOA), the framework delivers business flexibility with the assurance of industry-standards. With the IPsphere Framework, service creation utilizes a standardized registration and discovery process. It also supports payments for resource usage, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

With complete service autonomy and control, the IPsphere Framework meets the needs of Service Providers, Network Operators, Content Providers, Application Developers and System Integrators.

IPsphere Service Structuring Stratum

Using the Service Structuring Stratum, Service Providers and other stakeholders have a means of registering services and discovering their partners' services. Ultimately that translates into enhanced settlement for resource usage; assurance of service behavior; regulatory compliance; and a higher degree of autonomy.

The IPsphere and TM Forum Relationship

In September, 2008, IPsphere Forum became an integral part of TM Forum through the TM Forum IPsphere Transaction. Under the agreement, IPsphere Forum contributes its standards and implementation development to the TM Forum's Service Delivery Framework vision.

IPsphere produces specifications, abstractions and templates that define services at an appropriate level of business abstraction.

Because service abstractions are defined at an appropriate business level, the “templates” can be used to describe both Business services and Elements of those service Service Providers can then offer a customer a service based upon a combination of its own elements, as well as those of partners' elements (via information exchange through the Service Structuring Stratum).

Service Templates are created by “administrative owners” who link up with retail customers. Element Templates are created by Service Providers with “wholesale” contributions.

These pan-provider business solutions align with the TM Forum's service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles and Service Delivery Framework.
